The area convenience store landscape has changed again.

KCRG TV reports that Kum & Go was purchased by Salt Lake City-based company Maverik, finalizing a month’s long deal.

Kum & Go has stores in Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Wyoming. Maverik says those stores will be rebranded. In Iowa and other states, officials plan on leaving the stores as is for now, but have not ruled out future changes.

The Kum & Go franchise, employing about 5000 individuals, was previously estimated to be worth about $2 billion. The amount of the deal has not been announced.
