An Iowa City man was arrested over the weekend for OWI and weapons possession.

Deputies stopped 48-year-old Jeremy Lampe of Radcliffe Avenue near the Hills four-way stop on Sand Road late Saturday afternoon after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident.  He allegedly had bloodshot watery eyes and showed signs of impairment during field testing.  Lampe reportedly refused a PBT but consented to a Datamaster test, which showed his BAC over the legal limit to drive.

He also had two firearms in his immediate possession.

Lampe was charged with first offense OWI and Possession of Dangerous Weapons while Intoxicated. If convicted on both counts, he could be sentenced to up to two years in jail.
