Cedar Rapids authorities have identified the man pulled from the Cedar River last month.

At approximately 2:30p.m. on Sunday, August 20th, Cedar Rapids Police and Fire were called to the Cedar River following the report of a body floating in the river. Officers located a deceased, adult male floating along the west bank of the river between the Ellis boat ramp and I Ave boat ramp. Cedar Rapids Firefighters deployed a boat and were able to recover the body just before 3:30p.m.

That male has been identified as 53-year-old Kevin Finch.  Mr. Finch’s last known address was in Ankeny.  An autopsy performed at the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner revealed Mr. Finch died of natural causes and foul play is not suspected.
