An employee at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics is accused of stealing a tablet from the facility.
39-year-old Joseph Meyer of the Cole’s manufactured housing community was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 4:45 Saturday afternoon.University of Iowa Police say on the night of August 20th Meyer used his card to access a secured area of the UIHC, where he allegedly removed a Samsung tablet valued at over $300. UI Police say the tablet has yet to be recovered.
Meyer is charged with 4th Degree Theft. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
