An Iowa City man was arrested Monday night after allegedly being found with a stolen vehicle.

Police reportedly observed 38-year-old Ryan Grady driving a 2000 Toyota Camry at Lower City Park just after 7:30pm that had been reported stolen out of Iowa City.  When confronted, Grady allegedly admitted that he didn’t have permission to drive the vehicle.

According to the arrest report, Grady is seen on surveillance video throughout Iowa City driving the vehicle throughout the day.

The owner of the car valued the Toyota at $2500, in line with current Kelley Blue Book fair purchase price figures for that particular vehicle.

Grady was arrested and charged with 2nd degree Theft, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to five years if convicted.
