A transient is accused of intentionally ramming his bicycle into an Iowa City food delivery vehicle in a road rage incident.

According to arrest records, 41-year-old Abdiquani Haji Mohamud was riding an e-bike near Shelter House on Southgate Avenue just before 3:30 Saturday morning when a driver for Go Puff honked her horn to get the attention of the client who ordered the food. Police say Haji Mohamud thought the driver was honking at him, so he intentionally rammed her car with the e-bike, causing minor damage to the vehicle. Haji Mohamud then allegedly reached through the open car window and shoved the driver.

Haji Mohamud is charged with Assault and 5th Degree Criminal Mischief. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of 60 days in jail.
