The annual Taste of Iowa City has been postponed due to excessive heat warnings today.
The 15th annual Taste, which usually is held during the first week of school for incoming students to partake in samples from new and established area restaurants and food trucks, was supposed to be held this evening and will now been moved to a week from today, August 29th.
Tickets are $1, sold in strips of 5 and available at the downtown Iowa City MidWestOne Bank location, or online at www.downtowniowacitymarket.com . Online tickets can be picked up at the Downtown District office on East College Street.
Over fifty restaurants are signed up.
