More details are coming out about the latest Iowa Poll from the Des Moines Register, NBC News, and Mediacom.

The Register reports this morning that a majority of voters likely to attend the Iowa Republican caucuses believe that former President Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election over President Joe Biden. 51 percent of those polled believe Trump’s claim that he was the true winner of the contest; 41 percent do not, and 8 percent are still unsure.

Filtering out the independents, Democrats and members of other parties polled who say they planned to caucus with the Republicans in 2024, that figure jumps to 60 percent.

The belief that the election was stolen from Trump continues despite a nearly complete lack of evidence of voter fraud, and dozens of cases, some presided over by Trump-appointed judges, thrown out for lack of evidence.

The poll of 406 likely Republican caucus goers was conducted Aug. 13 through 17 by Selzer & Co. of Des Moines. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
