Iowa City Police have made an arrest in a vehicle burglary case.

The ICPD Daily Activity Log shows officers were called to the alley next to Big Grove Brewery on South Gilbert Street just before 7:45 Saturday morning for a male subject screaming at people. An investigation determined that 38-year-old Ryan Grady of Berkeley Lane had allegedly entered an unlocked Jeep parked at Gilbert Street Fitness and removed a backpack that contained a laptop computer and several other items. Grady was reportedly in possession of the stolen items when police made contact, and officers say he admitted to the burglary.

Grady is charged with 3rd Degree Burglary of a Motor Vehicle. If convicted, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
