One person was killed and another airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a two-vehicle accident in Keokuk County.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 2000 Chevy pickup was traveling westbound on Highway 92 between Sigourney and Keota just before 10:00 Friday night when it crossed the centerline and struck an eastbound 2004 Chevy pickup head-on south of Harper. The driver of the eastbound vehicle died at the scene, while the driver of the truck that crossed the centerline was airlifted to the UIHC. Their condition has not been released.
The accident remains under investigation. The names of the victims have not yet been released.
