A West Branch housing project will receive state funding.

The Iowa Economic Development Authority announced $38 million in workforce housing tax credits on Friday to develop new housing opportunities throughout the state. One of those developments is the Heritage Hill project in West Branch, which will rehabilitate a former concrete manufacturing site to accommodate 29 single family attached townhomes. Online records show the project will receive $927,000 in total tax credits.

In all, 59 projects statewide were approved for funding.

The Workforce Housing Tax Credit program has a focus on projects that redevelop abandoned, empty,  or dilapidated properties. For more information on the program , visit iowaeda.com/workforce-housing-tax-credit.
