The City of Iowa City is seeking public input on deer management efforts in advance of the 2023-2024 urban bow hunt season.
Members of the public are encouraged to share thoughts and suggestions about the City’s adopted Deer Management Plan, bow hunt program, and ongoing non-lethal management activities. Residents should send comments to DeerManagement@iowa-city.org or call the City Manager’s Office at 319-356-5010.
The City’s Long-Term Deer Management Plan includes one year of professional sharpshooting in 2019 and an urban bow hunt in 2020 – 2024. More information about deer in Iowa City and the city’s deer management efforts are available at www.icgov.org/deerprogram.
