A Marion man was arrested Friday on a warrant stemming from an alleged threat to kill a woman he has a no-contact order with.
According to the woman, 43-year-old Seven Divine of Martin Creek Road threatened to kill her if she testified against him in an upcoming domestic abuse trial. Specifically, Divine allegedly said he would kill the woman and her son by burning their North Liberty house down with them in it.
The woman stated that Divine had made that specific threat several times, and had recently contacted her despite the no-contact order. Police say he texted her on July 14th, 15th, 18th, 19th and 20th.
Divine was picked up on the warrant Friday and faces several No-Contact Order violations, as well as Witness Tampering and 1st degree Harassment. If convicted on those charges, Divine could be sentenced to up to four years in jail.
Divine is due to stand trial September 19th on 2nd offense Domestic Abuse, Domestic Abuse with use or display of a Weapon, and Dominion or Control of Firearm as a Domestic Abuser charges. If convicted on those counts, Divine could face a prison term of up to nine years.
