An Iowa City woman was arrested last week after allegedly stealing from vending machines.
The incident in question occurred July 14th just after 2:30pm, when 46-year-old Ann Trotter of Triple Crown Lane allegedly took the money from a vending machine on the 2500 block of South Scott Boulevard. When interviewed, she allegedly admitted to stealing the money on three separate occasions, taking approximately $300 in total.
Trotter was charged with 5th degree theft and is to appear August 21st in front of a Johnson County judge. If convicted on the charge, Trotter could be sentenced to up to 30 days in jail.
