Coralville man arrested after alleged multiple thefts at Waterfront HyVee

A Coralville man was arrested after allegedly committing multiple thefts at the Waterfront HyVee in Iowa City.

Police say 57-year-old Kevin White of Holiday Road and an alleged accomplice had been stealing alcohol at the store over the spring. On April 20^th, White and the accomplice went to the Waterfront Drive location at approximately 5:30pm, White allegedly taking two bottles of tequila. The accomplice reportedly stole 4 bottles of whiskey. The total taken during the incident amounted to over $370.

White has prior convictions for theft, including 2 counts of 5^th degree theft last September 27^th.

A warrant was issued on April 24^th; White was arrested Monday morning. He’s been charged with 3^rd degree Theft, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to two years if convicted.
