The Iowa Hawkeye football team has secured another commitment for its 2024 recruiting class.

Hawk Fanatic dot com reports Joseph Anderson announced his commitment to Iowa via Twitter on Monday.

Anderson is a 6-foot-5, 210-pound defensive end, and is also an accomplished hurdler and jumper in track and field. He plans on participating in both sports at Iowa, and Iowa’s willingness to let him compete in both sports helped to seal the deal.

Anderson earned all-state recognition in football last season and also qualified for state in the 110-meter hurdles, long jump and triple jump.

Anderson attends Westminister Christian Academy in St Louis, where he finished last season with 54 tackles in just his third year playing organized football.

Anderson is ranked as a three-star recruit by On3sports, and the 17th player to commit to the Hawkeyes 2024 recruiting class. He’s the third defensive end to commit, joining former Hawkeye linebacker Jack Campbell’s brother Drew Campbell from Cedar Falls and Devan Kennedy out of Phoenix.
