A Tiffin man has been arrested in connection with a reported road rage incident against a delivery driver in 2022.

32-year-old Jon Bargren of Creekside Drive was booked into the Johnson County Jail just before 6:45 Wednesday night. Iowa City Police say Bargren was involved in a dispute with a Jimmy John’s driver on the 100 block of North Dodge Street just after 8:15pm on July 28th of last year. The alleged victim was reportedly standing outside Bargren’s driver’s door recording him with his phone. Police say Bargren responded by slapping the phone out of the man’s hands and trying to erase the footage. Bargren then reportedly got out of his car and shoved the man with both hands. The alleged victim reported pain in his calf as a result of the altercation, which was caught on video.

Bargren was also wanted for a separate domestic incident at an East Burlington Street residence on June 6th. He’s now charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury and Domestic Abuse Assault Causing Injury. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of two years in jail.
