The Iowa High School Sports Network will begin charging for live streaming of its championship events.
That’s according to an email the company sent out on Tuesday. The news release says the IHSSN…which is the exclusive media provider of Iowa boys’ state championship events for baseball, football, wrestling, basketball, track and soccer…will begin charging $9.99 to stream its state tournament games, starting with baseball next month at Banks Field and in Carroll.
The new platform will allow viewers to watch a single game for $9.99, or $18.99 for all state tournament games. The “Watch IHSSN” app is free to download on iOS and Android devices, as well as Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Roku. Games will also be streamed at IHSSN.com.
Championship games will still air for free on IHSSN television and cable affiliates.
