A North Liberty man who has an active no-contact order with a victim has been charged with multiple violations of that order.

19-year-old Mason Jiles has repeatedly sent messages from his personal number, social media, fake numbers and fake social media partners to the victim.  The dates Jiles is accused of violating the order include May 24th, May 29th, June 8th, June 12th, and June 16th .

In one message on June 8th, Jiles allegedly threatened to “slap the eff” out of the victim while demanding that they be with him that night; the victim told police in the early hours of the 16th that they had blocked numerous numbers and social media profiles, but Jiles continued to make new ones and continued to contact them.  While taking the report, the officer witnessed the victim take yet another call from Jiles’ own phone number.

Jiles was located and booked at the Johnson County Jail just before 1:45 am Friday. He faces multiple contempt charges for violating the no-contact order and a charge of Stalking. If convicted, Jiles could be sentenced to over five years in prison.
