A Coralville man who was wanted on a parole violation was arrested Sunday night.
The Department of Corrections issued a warrant on June 1st for the arrest of Arthur Kirksey II for the undisclosed violation. He was seen Sunday afternoon on 12th Avenue near its intersection with Ozark Ridge operating a vehicle despite being barred.
Kirksey was taken into custody and charged with driving while barred as a habitual offender, an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by a jail term of up to two years if convicted. He is being held without bond.
Kirksey has a history of violations ranging from OWI and theft to possession of weapons as a convicted felon.
