An Iowa City man was taken into custody after an investigation reportedly discovered that he had sent a homemade pornographic video to three minors.

The incident occurred the afternoon of March 15th, when 18-year-old Jonathan Kiasosa of Indigo Drive allegedly sent a pornographic video via Instagram to a 17-year-old minor and two 14-year-old minors.  The video was of a male pleasuring himself to completion and making a lewd comment about a female body part over and over.

None of the three victims liked the video. The 17-year old communicated that to Kiasosa; one of the 14-year-olds blocked his Instagram account, while the other had a brief communication with Kiasosa over Instagram making it clear she did not like the video.

Investigators obtained a search warrant from Instagram and were able to obtain the video and the email address of the account holder.

A search warrant was executed at Kiasosa’s residence. His phone was seized; the video and chats with the victims were recovered.  Evidence reportedly supported investigators’ conclusion that the Instagram account the video was sent from belongs to Kiasosa and that he used his phone to send it to the victims.

A warrant was issued on Monday; Kiasosa was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with three counts of Dissemination and Exhibition of Obscene Material to Minors. If convicted on the charges, he could be sentenced to up to three years in jail.
