Two people were arrested last week after reportedly trying to return stolen merchandise for cash.

The incident occurred at the Waterfront HyVee.  54-year-old Joel Miller of Des Moines was observed on surveillance cameras by loss prevention, concealing three Mach3 razors and returning them for a total of $54.04 on Thursday evening.

Police also say 59-year old Cindy Lynch of Ankeny was allegedly seen by loss prevention removing razors from the store on Wednesday, then returning the next night about fifteen minutes before Miller to return the product.

Miller was charged with 3rd degree theft, an aggravated misdemeanor; Lynch was charged with 4th degree theft, a serious misdemeanor.
