An area transient was arrested after allegedly making repeated unwanted calls to a woman, then breaking a window at her residence.

Police were called to the victim’s residence at around 4pm Sunday. They were shown video footage of 41-year-old Jonathan Singleton breaking out the woman’s window.  Officers caught up with Singleton walking nearby and reportedly observed him with bloodshot watery eyes and a strong odor of ingested alcohol.  He allegedly admitted to breaking the woman’s window with a rock and a PBT showed his blood-alcohol level at .165 percent.

The woman advised police that Singleton had called her approximately 48 times over the weekend. She said the calls were unwanted, and showed them several text messages Singleton sent her.

Singleton was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief, Public Intoxication, and 3rd degree Harassment.  If convicted on all counts, he could be sentenced to up to 14 months in jail.  A no-contact order was requested between Singleton and the woman victim.
