A Coralville woman was arrested on warrants stemming from alleged thefts of nearly $1000 worth of liquor.

The first incident in question occurred the afternoon of March 26th at the 1st Avenue HyVee Drug in Iowa City.  51-year-old Keelie Greene of Holiday Road reportedly went into the store with two accomplices who acted as lookouts as she stole liquor. Police say she took 17 bottles of alcohol valued at over $600 and concealed them in her bag, then left the store without paying.  Greene was trespassed from the store back in November following a different theft investigation.

Greene then allegedly struck again on April 20th at the Waterfront Hyvee, concealing four bottles of Maker’s Mark whiskey and leaving without paying.  Her male accomplice also reportedly stole alcohol. The total amount stolen was estimated at over $370.

A check of court records show that Greene had been recently convicted of 3rd degree Theft on March 29th, where she was fined $105. Her record showed other convictions and warrants for theft.

Arrest warrants were issued on April 24th. Greene was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of 3rd degree Theft and for violating the Trespass order. If convicted on both counts, Greene could be sentenced to four years in jail.
