Finals week at the University of Iowa this semester saw hopes, dreams, aspirations…and a transient masturbating on the Pentacrest.
That’s what allegedly greeted early-rising students at the corner of Clinton and Washington Streets early Thursday morning. A witness reports seeing 27-year-old Davee Blahj Ceya masturbating on a bench in that area just before 5:30am. Ceya’s pants were reportedly pulled down, and his genitalia were on full display.
Police say other people were sitting around Ceya at the time. He reportedly told police he was conducting “a form of masturbation”.
Ceya is charged with Indecent Exposure. If convicted, he faces a maximum of one year in jail.
A no-contact order was granted to the witness.
