The Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission has reportedly launched an investigation into the University of Iowa baseball team, according to multiple reports.

As many as four players, including sophomore DH Keaton Anthony, might have been withheld from this past weekend’s series with Ohio State because of the investigation.

Iowa has declined to comment, other than issuing a two-sentence statement referencing an ongoing investigation. There was no mention of gambling in Friday’s statement.

The team has seven games remaining in the regular season ahead of the Big Ten and NCAA Tournaments.
