North Liberty Police say a man called 9-1-1 over a dozen times, only to get arrested himself on drug charges.

Arrest records indicate 36-year-old Jarrod Lumsdon of the Golfview Estates manufactured housing community called 9-1-1 for no legitimate purpose at least 14 times Saturday night. Dispatchers and two officers all report telling Lumsdon to stop, but he reportedly stated he would not.

Lumsdon was arrested at his residence at approximately 8:00 Saturday night. Police say a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana was found on his person.

Lumsdon is charged with Making a False Report to 9-1-1 and Possession of a Controlled Substance. If convicted on both charges, he faces a maximum of 13 months in jail.
