A man convicted for a robbery near downtown Iowa City has absconded from Hope House.
That’s according to the Iowa Department of Corrections, which reports 26-year-old Ali Abdelkarim Ali failed to report back to the Holiday Road facility as required on Thursday.
Ali is described as a 5’3” tall white male weighing 136 pounds. He was admitted to the work release facility on February 15th of this year.
Persons with information on Ali’s whereabouts should contact local police.
