A North Liberty man was arrested on a warrant stemming from an incident late last month when he allegedly jumped a bicyclist in Iowa City.

According to the arrest report, 33-year-old Tylor Hogan of Holiday Lodge Road was hiding in some trees in the area of Alyssa Court just before 1 am April 23rd, when he allegedly jumped the victim when he was riding by on his bike. Hogan reportedly used a metal fence post to strike the victim on his side and leg, causing injury. He also used the weapon to hit the victim’s bike, causing minor damage.

A warrant was issued for Hogan’s arrest the next day, and he was taken into custody Sunday night. He’s been charged with Willful Injury causing Bodily Injury and 5th degree Criminal Mischief. If convicted on both counts, Hogan could be sentenced to over five years in prison.
