Five University of Iowa colleges and programs were given a top-10 ranking in the latest US News and World Report’s Best Graduate Schools survey.

The Iowa Now website reports the five were the Physician Assistant program, ranked 2nd; Rehabilitation Counseling, ranked 3rd;  Clinical Nurse Leader and Pediatric Primary Care DNP, both ranked 4th, and Adult Gerontology Acute Care, ranked 10th.

Not all programs are ranked annually; there are five other programs at the U of I that landed in the top ten in their most recent rankings, including Audiology, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Printmaking, and Nurse Anesthesia.

In all, 30 University of Iowa colleges and programs were recognized among the best in their field in the Best Graduate Schools rankings for 2024.

The publication announced earlier this month that this year’s graduate schools rankings will be released in two parts. The first includes academic reputation rankings for graduate and/or doctoral programs in business, chemistry, computer science, earth science, education, engineering, health care management, mathematics, nursing, physician assistant, physics, public affairs, public health, rehabilitation counseling, and veterinary medicine. The second, which will include rankings in law and medical schools, will be released later.
