Keegan Murray won his NBA playoff debut, although the Hawkeye alum had a quiet night statistically.
Murray had only two points on one-of-five shooting with four rebounds in Sacramento’s 126-123 Game 1 win over defending NBA champion Golden State. The Kings now lead the best-of-seven series one game to none.
It’s been almost a full decade since a Hawkeye alum has scored a basket in an NBA playoff game. The last to do it was Reggie Evans for New Jersey in May of 2013.
Game 2 between the Kings and Warriors is Monday night in Sacramento. Tipoff is set for 9:00 on TNT.
