A Muscatine County man has been sentenced to a twenty-year federal prison term after pleading guilty to Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Child.
KCRG TV reports 33-year-old David Franklin Duncan III used cell phones and Facebook to communicate with a person he believed to be a 15-year-old child between February and September 2022. Duncan reportedly urged the person to send him pictures and videos of them engaging in explicit sexual conduct. He also sent sexually explicit photos and videos to the person, and allegedly attempted to get the person to come to his location so they could have sex.
Duncan III was actually communicating with an undercover law enforcement officer.
Duncan was also sentenced to 10 years of supervised release after serving his 20-year federal prison term.
