Hope House resident charged with bringing meth into facility

A Hope House resident was charged after allegedly being found with contraband.

Staff at the facility conducted a routine locker check at approximately 3:30 am on Monday , The cell phone locker assigned to 45-year-old David Meece reportedly contained a baggie conteining multiple rolled-up tissue papers containing an unknown white crystalline substance.

Staff then photographed, collected and documented the incident. The substance allegedly field tested positive for meth.

Meece was taken into custody and charged with Possession of Contraband in a Correctional Institution, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years if convicted.
