An Iowa City man was arrested after allegedly threatening to kill his former live-in girlfriend.
According to police, the incident occurred around 2am on March 1st. 21-year-old Brandon Rodrick was confronted by his live-in girlfriend about material found on his phone. He reportedly pinned the woman against the wall, grabbed her neck and threatened to kill her.
At another point during the incident, Rodrick allegedly attempted to push past the woman and enter her residence, causing scratches to her side.
The police report states that the two had been living together in a dating relationship.
A warrant was requested March 27th; he was taken into custody Friday morning and charged with Domestic Assault causing Injury and 3rd degree Harassment. If convicted on both counts, Rodrick could be sentenced to up to 13 months in jail.
A no-contact order was requested by the victim.
