Coralville Police are investigating a reported bomb threat at Northwest Junior High School.
Students and staff were safely evacuated to a different location while police checked the school. Traffic in and around the area was restricted during the investigation. No suspicious devices or packages have been reported.
The threat comes two days after several local schools were “swatted”, meaning a caller reported a made-up shooting or other immediate fake threat that required a quick and heavy police response.
