A Lone Tree woman has been arrested after a reported assault at an Iowa City nightclub.
Iowa City Police responded to a reported fight at La Rumba on Lower Muscatine Road at 11:45 Friday night. Witnesses say 40-year-old Brenda Sanchez Luna of North Park Drive attacked another woman in a restroom over what were described as “personal differences”.
The alleged victim had a scratch on her chest, and complained of pain on the left side of her face caused by Sanchez Luna’s actions. Police say Sanchez Luna admitted to putting hands on the other woman.
Sanchez Luna is charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. If convicted, she faces a maximum of one year in jail.
