The Corridor Community Action Network is hosting a “coffee chat” on reproductive rights Sunday in Coralville.

The event, titled “Repro Rights Coffee Chat”, is described by the CCAN as “a low-key way for community members to access information and resources, get legislative updates, discuss the state of reproductive care in Iowa, and interact with representatives from repro rights organizations.” It comes eight months after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, which legalized abortion in the United States.

Future reproductive rights events sponsored by the CCAN include another “Coffee Chat” on April 16th at Ranshaw House in North Liberty, a “BINGO Happy Hour” event at The Green House on East Washington Street in Iowa City on April 23rd, and a benefit concert at the Old Neighborhood Pub on 16th Street NE in Cedar Rapids on June 24th.

Sunday’s event is set for noon to 1pm in Meeting Room A of the Coralville Public Library. Free coffee and pastries will be available.
