A large inflatable bunny stolen from the Iowa City Ped Mall has been returned.
The bunny was part of a holiday display sponsored by the Iowa City Downtown District. Iowa City Police say the bunny was stolen around 1:50 Thursday morning from the area of the Ped Mall between the Bread Garden Market and the Iowa City Public Library. The same bunny was the target of reported vandalism over the weekend when a young male reportedly stomped on it.
A Thursday night post on the Iowa City Downtown District Facebook page indicates the bunny has been safely returned. There is no indication if charges have been filed.
