A Johnson County Jail inmate is accused of hiding drugs in her vagina.
25-year-old Orlanda Littlelight of the Modern Manor manufactured housing community was arrested by Iowa City Police on felony drug charges just before 9:45 Wednesday night outside Hawkeye Liquor and Tobacco on Hollywood Boulevard. Police say Littlelight was warned multiple times about possessing contraband as she was being booked into the Johnson County Jail.
A search of Littlelight’s person reportedly turned up a balloon containing what deputies describe as “a sizeable chunk of suspected methamphetamine” inside her vaginal cavity.
Littlelight now faces an additional charge of Possession of Contraband In a Correctional Institution. If convicted on that charge, she faces a maximum of five years in prison.
The previous drug charges carry a maximum sentence of 35 years behind bars.
