Iowa City Police have cited a University of Iowa student who allegedly threatened his neighbors who called in a noise complaint against him.

Officers were called to an apartment on the 300 block of East Burlington Street just after 3:15 Saturday morning for a loud party. Investigators say they could hear loud voices throughout the building. The tenant on the apartment’s lease reportedly said there were ten people inside his apartment. As officers were leaving after issuing a warning, the voices again reportedly got loud, and the tenant could be heard stating, “We need to find out which neighbor called so I can f—ing kill them.”

Police returned to the apartment and issued a Disorderly House citation.
