North Liberty officials are considering what developers are calling a new entertainment district for the city.

The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports the proposed project, which is being called “Solomon’s Landing”, would be built on 40 acres at the northwest corner of Penn Street and Jones Boulevard. The development would be anchored by a Pizza Ranch and include a 33,600 square foot indoor recreation center known as “The Palestra”, as well as a 32,909 square foot bowling alley and entertainment area.

The developer, Lion Development Group, estimates Solomon’s Landing would bring North Liberty $30 to $40 million in annual spending.

North Liberty city officials are working with Lion Development on an economic development agreement to be presented to the city council.
