Coralville man added to list of those charged in Tiffin shooting case

A Coralville man is the latest person charged in connection with a shooting incident in Tiffin last year.

21-year-old Dquavius Kelly of 22nd Avenue was booked into the Johnson County Jail just after 10:45 Friday morning.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says on the evening of October 21st, Kelly and a car full of other subjects reportedly chased another vehicle down Highway 6 in Tiffin. A 17-year-old allegedly shot at the other vehicle at least six times. Multiple bullets struck the car, but none of the occupants were injured.

Multiple arrests were made this week, including Kelly and other Coralville residents including 18-year-old Aydin Kutcher, 19-year-old David Love Jr., 19-year-old Isaiah Scott, and 20-year-old Jamyrion White. Also charged was 19-year-old Michael Rensing of North Liberty. Each individual was charged with Participating in a Riot, a Class D Felony punishable by a prison term of up to five years if convicted.  The 17-year-old was charged with Attempted Murder

Also charged was 22-year-old Glenda Reighard of Tiffin. She allegedly purchased a handgun in Coralville on October 2nd for one of those arrested because they were unable to purchase it on their own due to their age. She faces additional charges of providing False Information to acquire a Weapon, and Transfer of a Pistol or Revolver to Person under 21. Reighard could be sentenced to up to 11 years in prison if convicted on all counts.
