The Press-Citizen reports the Council narrowed down the applicants from a pool of 21.
The finalists are:

Iowa City Area Chinese Association president Na Li;
Former Iowa state representative Mary Mascher;
Sean McRoberts, director of operations and development at the Wesley Center at the University of Iowa;
Local architect and business leader Joshua Moe;

The vacancy occurred when former council member Janice Weiner was elected to the Iowa Senate; the Council is expected to name her replacement Tuesday.
