A North Liberty man was arrested on a warrant stemming from a New Year’s Eve incident in Iowa City where he returned to his place of employment after hours, reportedly to take alcohol.

The incident occurred at approximately 9pm, after the FInkbine Golf Course clubhouse in Iowa City had closed for the night. According to the arrest report, 31-year-old Adam Crutcher of Village Drive used his employee key card to access the clubhouse. A manager who was still in his office heard the sound of glass breaking and went to investigate. He saw the dry room door open and reportedly discovered Crutcher on the ground with a broken bottle of Tito’s Handmade Vodka in one hand, and a new bottle of the liquor in his other.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, and he was booked at the Johnson County Jail Wednesday morning. He’s been charged with 2nd degree Burglary, a Class C Felony punishable by a prison sentence of up to ten years if convicted.
