A suspect is in custody in a Riverside restaurant burglary case.

According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, last Friday 35-year-old Travis Lennox of Ottumwa was arrested on a Washington County warrant by the Ottumwa Police Department.

Investigators say on July 17th Washington County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to La Chiva Loka on West 1st Street for a commercial burglary alarm. Considerable damage was caused to the restaurant, forcing it to close to the public. Lennox was later developed as a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest last Thursday.

Lennox is charged with 1st Degree Criminal Mischief, 3rd Degree Burglary and 5th Degree Theft. If convicted on all charges, he faces a maximum of over 15 years in prison.

Lennox was transported to the Washington County Jail on Tuesday. He was later released on a $15,300 cash bond.
