A downtown Iowa City shoplifter gave the term “wet bandit” a whole new meaning this holiday season after the intoxicated subject reportedly urinated himself after he was caught by loss prevention.
That’s according to a call made to Iowa City Police by an employee of the downtown Target. According to the ICPD Daily Activity Log, officers were called to the East Washington Street department store just after 6:30 Saturday night for an intoxicated shoplifter who had urinated himself.
The suspect, who is not listed in police reports, was given a trespass warning. No charges were filed.
