The recent rain has led one local county to lift its burn ban.
According to the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office, the burn ban for the county was lifted as of 6am Sunday due to the newly-wet conditions.
Louisa County officials note that due to city ordinance, there is still no open burning of leaves or yard waste within the city limits of Wapello during the fall.
