The Johnson County Planning & Zoning Commission will be meeting this month to discuss a Windham village plan and boundary.

In a release from the county, the most recent draft documents are now ready for public review and comment. The documents update earlier materials after public input.

Written comments received by November 10th will be included in the packet for the P&Z Commission. They can be emailed to  nmueller@johnsoncountyiowa.gov or sent to the county Administration Building. Their address is 913 South Dubuque Street, Iowa City.

The current draft and related files are online at johnsoncountyiowa.gov/windham-village-planning, and hard copies can be accessed during regular business hours at the Admin Building.

The plan and boundary concepts will then be considered by the PZ Commission meeting at 5:30 November 14th in the Second-Floor Boardroom. The public is welcome to share written or oral comments at the public hearing.

The PZ Commission will, along with discussing the entire plan, recommend a boundary to the Board of Supervisors. The Board will set the final boundary as part of their approval process during subsequent public meeting(s) that are expected to be held in December. The County’s PDS Department is coordinating the planning process at the direction of the Board of Supervisors.
