Early voting begins this week in Johnson County.

Residents can begin casting in-person ballots at the Johnson County Administration Building on South Dubuque Street starting on Wednesday. Voting hours at the auditor’s office are weekdays 8am to 5pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm and Sundays 9am to 3pm. Voting machines are set up in the auditor’s office lobby, although drive-up voting is also available.

A three-day satellite voting site also opens on Wednesday at the Iowa Memorial Union, where residents can vote Wednesday through Friday from 9am to 3pm. Early voting also takes place at Purpose Place on Southgate Avenue this Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

Satellite voting sites in future weeks include Tiffin City Hall and the public libraries in Iowa City, Coralville and North Liberty.
