An Iowa City man has been arrested after a search warrant executed earlier this year turned up large quantities of drugs.

Police executed the warrant on the Johnson Street apartment of 22-year-old Theodore Anderson the morning of July 2nd.  A search of the residence reportedly turned up over 3 pounds of marijuana, 1500 grams of mushrooms, over 200 THC cartridges and over 8 pounds of THC wax.

Anderson allegedly admitted that he was a “middle man,” referring people to his roommate to purchase the drugs. Anderson also reportedly admitted knowing the drugs were in the apartment.

A warrant was issued for Anderson’s arrest September 20th; he was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. He was charged with a Class D Controlled Substance violation, a Class C Controlled Substance violation, a Tax Stamp violation, and Keeping Premises for Controlled Substances. If convicted on all charges, Anderson could be sentenced to up to 22 years in prison.
